her brother says, "Why would he say he had 4 children if they weren't his own?"
She rolls her eyes, brother tips hubby an extra $20 for putting up with the stupidity of his sister.

She is saying all of this while complaining about how she can't get anything done or get out of the house with her ONE child.

No offense to those of you with one child, but if I can get out of the house with all four children and run errands, please don't complain about not being able to get out of the house with your one child. Just do it and don't be a pansy.

So Jenn tagged me and since I actually go the babies to sleep and they are in their bed I thought I might actually do something fun for myself.

1. I can be severely OCD when it comes to picking on things. It doesn't matter what it is, if its pickable I'll pick at it till its gone. Which is good and bad, depending on what it is.

2. I was born in Brazil while my parents were missionaries there. Which means I have a dual citizenship.

3. I have to have certain things done the exact right way or it drives me crazy! Seriously, I have to go and fix it if it isn't right. And its not just one thing its lots of little things that I don't even realize until they are not right. (yeah yeah OCD)

4. I hate dirty fingernails on kids, I have to clip and clean them as soon as I see them. And my kids always have dirty fingernails, no matter what. Go figure.

5. Ear wax drives me crazy. I would clean out my ears or the kids 5 times a day if they needed it.

6. I'm addicted to scales. If I have a scale I will step on it every time I walk by it. Which is why I normally do not have a scale.

7. I'm seeing a major OCD trend here...are you? :) And this is me on medication! But I am happy!! I just wish I could be a little OCD about keeping my house clean or laundry put away.

Newborn Slideshow

The twins newborn slideshow is up!!! It is amazing!!! Jen does such a fabulous job, we are so lucky to have her! Thank you Jen!!!!

2 months!

The babies are two months old!! Can you believe that time has flown by so quickly? They are growing so fast and changing so quickly that we can't believe it. Here are a few pics taken today of sweet 2 month olds!





We had the pleasure of having Brandon's parents come and visit this weekend and had lots of fun!! Ella showed her true spitfire spirit and showed them what being around a screaming baby all.night. long. was like, and then showed them how pretty and sweet she can be. And Beck was our laid back man and chilled pretty much except for a few times when sissy was calm and he decided to scream! Can't be left out you know!!


And since today was so nice, we decided to sit outside with the babies and enjoy the weather!! Here are a few pics from the babies first real outside time.

So our missing Posse member made it in to town and we had a fabulous girl's night out!! (even though we did miss jenn and stacey.....you girls better clear your calendars for the next one!!) Thanks to Sharon (jenny's mom) and Sarah(jenny's grandma) who came over and watched the babies and Maggie, my dad and stepmom who watched H and played american girl things all night, and B's best buddy that had him over for a sleep over!! Everyone had great time!!!

OMG!!

We slept from 1 am- 6am last night. Miracles never cease! They were fussy all last evening and I was sure they wouldn't sleep, but they did!! YAHOOOO!!!!

So many screams out of such little people! I don't know what the deal is but these babies have decided to scream a whole bunch today. Probably not any more than any other day but it sure feels like it! But right now they are sleeping and looking like the little angels I know they really are, underneath all of the screaming!! ;)

We had great sleep for about 5 nights in a row (at least 3-4 hours in a row) but the last two have sucked!!! Hopefully tonight will be better.

Today is my little brother's birthday! I don't know if he even reads this blog but if he happens to today... HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUCK!! I think he's 26, what happened to the last 20 years? I feel like he was starting kindergarten yesterday. Time flies when you're having fun!!

I actually made it to work today! With the babies...not the most efficient way to work. But i thought I would give it a shot and see how they would do. I think I got a total of 2 things done in about 3 hours. Not my finest most efficient day! But I did get to give Jen and Amy some baby loving time, so I'm sure it was all worth it. :) It just felt nice to get out of the house!!!

H and B got new glasses today. They look so cute in them!! I will take pics tomorrow and post some. I know, I know, I am way behind on posting pics but I will get there!!

I can really tell B's prescription change was for the better. Tell me if this says anything about how he was seeing before...driving through the neighborhood on the way home with new glasses on...B says," Why are we driving in the wrong neighborhood?"...we were in our neighborhood, driving the same route we drive every.single.day. I think the new prescription was definitely beyond being needed!! I had to laugh.

Newest sayings by my 6 year old boy around the house during nursing time..."Are you still milking the babies?"..."Are they sucking on your nibbles?"... "Why do they have to eat soooo long?"..." Can I give them some m-n-m's to eat?"..." When will they be walking?"..." hehehe, he tooted on me"

So excited, our missing Possee member is coming up this weekend for a visit!! Can't wait!!!

sleep

I'm starting to remember what it was like to sleep. We have now had 3 nights of at least 4 hours of consecutive sleep (I will kindly exclude the fact that one of the nights I did not get the full 4 hours of sleep because of my husbands wonderful snoring, while the babies were sound asleep). I feel like a new woman. Now to see if it continues...

We are still nursing around the clock! How long are these growth spurts supposed to last? I feel like its been two weeks of non stop nursing. This is when a clear head would help to remember how long this has been going on for. Now just answer me this, why can't men lactate?I have been told by my loving husband that if he could nurse the babies he would, and I would love to take him up on this. But it is not meant to be, (please let me know if anyone knows of a secret way to make men lactate though!!)

It is definitely time for me to get back to work. I am going a little stir crazy at home. I think I may have to get a crew in here to pry my body off the couch. I've watched about every type of tv show out there and read as many books as I could ever want to read. I really don't know how you fabulous stay at home moms do it. Seriously I don't know how you do it. It is the hardest job in the world!! And I have a fantastic husband who is home during the day to help me out. But I just have to get out of the house or I will literally go crazy. The last time I tried to be a stay at home mom I ended up with a major case of PPD. So for my mental health...watch out Sugar, here I come.

Update

So, I'm guessing just to prove me wrong, the babies decided to sleep last night. We actually got to sleep from 1am until 6 am. It was glorious! I can almost think straight today!! Lets see if this continues or if it was just another teaser.
