3 months!!
The babies are 3 months old now!!!!! Can you believe it? Time is flying by. I'm planing on posting some new pics tonight but thought I better blog while all was quiet.
Both babies are smiling all the time. Beck is our master "coo"er, he loves to talk to you and Ella is our face mimicker, she loves to stick her tongue out at you. They are both holding their heads up really well, but Ella has an easier time than Beck. Her head is just smaller and easier to hold up. :) Ella also loves to stand up, Beck's not quite so sure about that whole standing business, he has a lot more mass to hold up. He is about 3lbs bigger than our dainty girl. They are just so cute!!
The reflux is still around, but the prevacid seems to be helping , at least during the day. We are having meltdowns for both babies starting at 6:30 every night. I've tried getting down for a nap to see if it helps but they still wake up screaming. I'm giving it until Friday to see if it improves. But the days are much nicer now. Still not sure if the zantac is working on Beck, I really want to get Ella in check to see if she's affecting him.
Big kid update:
School is out in 2 weeks!!!!
H will be done with 3rd grade and B will be done kindergarten. I can't believe it!! H is starting to get a little big kid sass in her voice. B is starting to look so much older. Now what are we going to do for 3 whole months of summer???????

H's 9th birthday party
My day of updates!! We had H's party today. And boy was it fun and a mad house! We had a cupcake decorating party. I think we had over 30 different toppings that the girl's could put on their cupcakes. They all went to town! We also had about 4 more girls show up that we weren't expecting so it was a busy busy day. H had a blast, everyone loved their cupcakes, and they all went home on a sugar high! I'm sure the parents are loving me today!!!
When the girls first got here I asked if they needed help icing their cupcakes and they looked at me like I had snakes growing out of my head. They were like, " We're old enough to do it ourselves" so I stepped back and watched them go to town. I really do forget how old they are and how mature they are getting. They are almost done with 3rd grade!!!
And I'm also sending out a super HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Tracey's little one, Lucy, who had her party today as well!!! :)

Bridging Ceremony
We had H's girl scouts bridging ceremony this last week. She moved form being a brownie to a junior. She was so excited!!! Here are some pics form the very very windy day. She's getting so big!!
Mother's Day
Never got to post about my mother's day. We had a fabulous relaxing day. I got to SLEEP IN!!! We took the kids out the Science Place and they had a blast exploring and learning about all types of things. And then went to Chuy's for a fun dinner. Everyone was so good that day!!Here are some pics of the bigger kids.

Prevacid
We went to the Dr. today and he put her on prevacid. We also found out that she isn't gaining as much as she should be. I'm guessing its because the relux upsets her tummy and throat so much.
So we are supposed to be offering her formula or expressed breast milk after every meal just to make sure she isn't hungry. She just glares at me and spits the nipple out when I do this. So I really hope she will start gaining a bit more so that we don't have to got to the next level the dr. is talking about.
So cross your fingers that this works.
(edited to add---> Last night was hard, but I know it can take up to a week to see results. But today was much better. Everyone commented on how much happier she seems. :) We had a lot more smiles, and that was just fabulous!!)

Tired
hmmm...my honeymoon period with zantac seems to be waning. babies are slowly getting more fussy again in the evening and not sleeping as well through the night. is it because i moved them to their own room and the lack of sleep is making them cranky or is it the medicine not being as effective? or is it something else altogether? babies are still a thousand times better than they were before but i hate to back peddle.
had to give one of our dogs away yesterday. so sad. she started biting, growling, and acting neurotic. can't risk a biting dog with kids and babies. SPCA has her and is thankfully a no kill shelter. i think the babies crying pushed her over the edge. hope she finds a new home with no kids that will give her lots of love. and maybe she won't be as neurotic.
h's birthday party is this weekend. she is going to be 9!!! i just can't believe it. they grow up way to fast. having a cupcake decorating party with a luau theme. should be lots of fun! :)
school is almost out, what are we going to do with the kids for three whole months? at least their dad will get to worry about one of those months. but why are we back to three freakin months of summer....way too much.
in a funk. cross your fingers that the babies sleep better tonight!

Mother's Day
Inspired by Tracey's post....
So my little man's school had a "crazy about moms" day, here are some of the things he said/wrote about me, spelled the exact way he spelled them:
My Mom is SPeShl Because She tacs car oF Me Wen i am sic.
(my mom is special because she takes care of me when I am sick)
I make mom happy when I... Clen the dishis and i like it when She hlps Me pic out clos.
(clean the dishes* and I like it when she helps me pick out clothes)
* I don't think he has ever cleaned the dishes, but he does help put them away. He's right though I would be soooo happy if he cleaned the dishes!
My favorite outfit that mom wears is... a pink supr grl shrt and red pas.
(a pink super girl shirt and red pants....do I have red pants?)
And here are my favorites according to B:
Food- Ham
Color- Red
Movie- Spider-man 3
( i guess he didn't like my Pretty Woman answer)
Place to eat- MicDonlds
(I think he got it confused and answered what place I like least!)
Flower- Ros
Place to shop- Tareget
(this is so very true!!)
Hobby- Plaing With me
( I really do love playing with him, he has the best imagination!)
Sport- Sped stacing
(speed stacking- I only found out what this is a few weeks ago, did you know they consider it a sport? I wonder why our nations children are becoming more and more obese? But he thinks this is the best thing out there and for that I love it too.)
He asked me for about two weeks what all my favorites were, I just thought he was asking questions but he was obviously researching. Only problem is that he told me what my favorites were and asked me to agree with him, so these are all now my favorites! :)
And then I was told that I needed to put all of my mother's day items in my mothers day box that he gave me a few weeks ago...it's an empty scooby doo fruit snack box from Sam's (read-extra large).
He is the sweetest boy!

Smiles...
are coming more and more every day. Loving the new happy babies!! Last night they only cried for 20 minutes! I did have to work hard to keep them happy but it worked. Here are some smiles from today!

Graduation
I really can't believe it! My little boy is graduating kindergarten this year! We had the ceremony last night and it lasted a whole 7 minutes...why can't high school graduations be that fast? It was nice. They were all so cute!! The sang us two songs and had me tearing up in the end.
He was so excited. He kept on saying "are you so excited to hear me sing you are my sunshine? We have been practicing so hard!" And of course, I think he was the only one on the stage that didn't quite get the hand movements right that they were doing with the song, which made it all even more cute!
He is just growing up so fast! His face is even all grown up, he lost the little boy chub. I'm happy and sad at the same time!
