Just saw this and it really made me think. We started using the reusable bags at the store and I feel so much better about it!

Just this hippy side coming out again.

But seriously people how hard would it be to use those handy reusable bags they have at the stores instead of the plastic ones that are littering the earth?

My grocery store even gives you a 5 cent credit for each bag you bring. They pay for themselves in no time!

Try it, you might like it! (and I've found that these bags are handy for using for all sorts of other things. Love them!)

Haircut

Finally got a haircut today...after 6 months. I have never gone that long but time seemed to get away from me for some reason! ;) I was looking for a before pic to post but the last picture I have with my hair down was from the beginning of may. I have seriously had it up since then.

Me and my startled looking child...I'm so bad I love their funny faces!


Last night, something amazing happened. The babies actually slept. Ella slept from 8pm-11pm and 12pm-8am (with an hour of crying until I gave in and fed her) and Beck slept from 8pm-3am and 3:30 am- 8:30am. It was heaven!!! Lets hope it happens again!

Eating, Sitting and Sleeping!

First off...Beck is sitting! We went to a Music Together class today (which was super fun! and the babies loved it!!) and he sat up by himself unpropped almost the entire class! I was amazed. And he kept it up once we got home. Very cool!

Monday night the babies woke up at 11pm and didn't stop crying as quickly as they normally do, so I went in to check on them. This is how I found them. When I originally put them down for the night Beck was on the right side of the crib with his head towards the top of the crib. So apparently he rolled all the way over to his sister and over her to get in that corner. Too funny!

Found this pic on the camera from when Brandon shot a few pics this morning. Which is very fitting because Beck looks just like Brandon does in the mornings. This is such a grumpy daddy face. :)

So I made up some sweet potatoes for the babies the other day and the babies think they are fabulous! They are doing a great job eating and actually keeping most of it in their mouths. They are growing up so fast.

Daily Baby Love

This is why I do the sales and not the photography!!)

So we broke sown and finally tried the neti pot out today. Our sinuses have been feeling horrible the last few days and I have quite a few friends that swear by it and some that couldn't make it through the ordeal without laughing. Both Brandon and I tried it out and so far it hasn't been so bad and seems to be helping. I'm just over this whole allergy thing!! So with my hippy side fully out in the open, I fully endorse the neti pot!!

And yes I admit I wore bell bottoms in high school even though no one else did and as Jenny likes to remind me I painted my jeans with bright yellow flowers up and down the legs. I really wish I still had those!! I would probably still be wearing them. I do have my bell bottoms though, you know cause the kids may want to wear them for hippy day when they are in high school or something. Hmmm...I seem to be admitting an awful lot, mental note, do not drink wine and blog.

They actually slept much better last night and today the naps have been much better! I think we are turning a nap and sleep corner!! YAY!

Ladies and gentlemen....

the babies did not let out one peep when I put them down to sleep tonight. They have been crying every single night for anywhere from 20-45 minutes but tonight, no crying. Cross your fingers that they keep it up!! Maybe I'll get a full 5 hours of sleep in a row tonight. I would be a new woman if that happened!!! It the little things that make me happy these days!

Yay!! Got my nice camera back!!

Our camera (Nikon d40) accidentally got dropped on the floor while the babies were in the NICU. And after taking forever to send it in to get fixed, we did. And today we got it back. Its so nice to see everything so clearly with the new camera again!

Superman and baby pics

Okay so since the big kids are gone for the month, I decided to use the time to decorate their rooms. B said he wanted a superman room. To be more exact superman holding a piece of cheese flying through the sky. Well, I forgot the cheese...do you think he'll notice? I found a coloring page online of the pics below and tried my artistic hand at putting this on the wall. I was really looking for an overhead projector so I could just trace it, but that turned out to be too much trouble so I free handed it myself instead. It didn't turn out too bad. See all of those art classes in college did do me some good! And then today my best buddy came over and helped me color him in. And I did sort of a gray color wash over the buildings to give them a little depth.
