We have moved, gone on vacation, and gotten through the first month of summer. WOW! I can't believe all thats happened in that short period of time.
Baby update:
They are now 4 months old and as cute as can be. The prevacid is a lifesaver and we actually have happy babies most of the time. Ella loves to smile all the time and gives us little laughs as well. Beck is our talker. He loves to tell you what is happening in his life. And he gives some laughs that just make you smile. We have their 4 month check up tomorrow and we'll see how they are doing. I actually weighed them with me on the Wii Fit and it looks like Ella is 11.2 lbs and Beck is 16lbs. I really want to see how close that is. I can't believe he is so much bigger than her! They have both been eating like horses. They have one bottle at night and they have both gone up at least 2 ounces on that bottle. Ella is downing 7.5-8 ounces on that last bottle. I thought it was just a growth spurt for both of tham but it has stuck this was for the last 2 1/2 weeks.
Kid update:
H and B have had a fun but I'm guessing boring summer so far. This darn move has not given us much time to have fun. Which is why our little lakehouse trip (more on that later) was so nice. They both had a blast and have asked repeatedly if we are going to this every year. H got a new american girl doll for her birthday from her Mimi and has been in heaven! Its the just like me doll and it really does look like her. Its so cute. B has been busy continuing to be a super hero. His newest odd request:
B:"When you paint my room can you make it look like cheese? You know the kind with the holes in it?
Me: Swiss Cheese?
B: Yeah!
Me: have you ever had swiss cheese?
B: no but I know I'll like it.
Me:Hmmm...I don't really think swiss cheese is the best choice. I think we are going to stick to the original Super man theme we talked about.
B: Well then can he be holding a piece of cheese? And can all the types of food in the world be painted in my room as well?
Me: I'll put the cheese in his hand but I'm not doing any other food.
B: But I really want all the food in theorld painted in my room!
Me: Too bad!
I would still really love to live in his mind for just one day! It is such a creative place.
Move:
We have moved into our new super duper spacious place!!! It is so nice! We don't feel so closed in. Still trying to find everything but its all coming together. Now onto painting!! We have our master bedroom done (thanks to B and his brother) and now my fab Mother in law is coming up to help me get some more painting done! (and of course get some baby holding in!)
My parents have been absolutely fabulous!! They have pitched in with many last minute baby sitting duties that saved our lives and sanity (not to mention the fact they they have basically given us this house to live in!!). We really couldn't of gotten through this move with out them. And we are so thankful that they gave up their house so that we could have extra space. Because they had a whole bunch more to pack and move than we ever had. They lived here for 14 years!!! They are a true blessing to us and absolutely ROCK!! We love you guys!!!
It really is nice having family in town and close by!
Lake House!-
And what do we need after a week of hectic moving and painting? A vacation from it all! And we had just that. So thanks to the fabulous Tracey and ALL of her hard work and planning, we had a super fun posse vacation at Lake LBJ. I know the other girls have already posted about this, so I'll keep it short and you can get all the details from their blogs (cause really I'm just too tired to type out ALL of the fun we had because of all of the fun we had!!). Here's the breakdown:
6 couples
15 kids
1 cabin ( a very nice 5 bedroom w/loft in the heart of the hill country with beautiful views)
I mean really what could go wrong? ;)
Amazingly enough not very much at all. I mean nothing major happened except for one kid getting sick the day of.
It was a weekend of fun, friendship, relaxation, active children (who all behaved amazingly well), wiggling babies, Wii playing, Riney-rita drinking, good cooking, bond building, swimming time. And now it will truly be an annual event every year. I can't wait for next year!!!
Now the big kids have gone to their dad's for the month of July and we have a ton of painting and baby holding to do while they are gone. I promised their rooms would be done by the time they came back....I really hope I can do it. And I really really need to remember to feed their fish while they are gone!!!

Wow! What a huge update, sound fabulous! Missed your posts, so glad you are back!
Holy Cheese, Batman! I couldn't stop laughing at the "cheese" room. Seriously, I think you should consider it. Maybe different superheroes could be holding different kinds of cheese... hmmmmm?
So nice to get an update, and BEAUTIFUL pics, too!
