Yes I know I sound like Dora but I'm so excited! I made it to the end of NaBloPoMo! Not sure if I'll ever try it again but boy was it fun while it lasted...sort of.
We have the babies 9 month check up today and good thing too because they are cranky little buggers. Hopefully he'll just tell us its teething but man are they driving me crazy. The constant whining and crying all.night.long. just sucks! Hoping its not an ear infection for one or both of them.
I am really excited though because we are totally off formula at this house. They were getting one formula bottle at the end of the day every day so I could have a break from breast feeding. But somehow over the last weekend I was able to cut that bottle out and just nurse. I think its the amount of real food they are eating now. Last Tuesday I was about to make bottles and realized I still felt like I had plenty of milk left to feed. So I decided to nurse instead and they ended up doing just fine and sleeping like normal.
We are up to 3 meals a day with them as well. These two eat ANYTHING you put in front of them and they have just started the (at least ella has) I only want to feed myself I don't need your help stage. They are huge fans of oatmeal, yougurt, bananas, puffs, quesadillas, turkey, hamburger, pasta, avacados, mangoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, applesauce, and anything you might be eating. They come over to you like al ittle dog and beg and whine fo a bite of what you have.
You can so tell they aren't first or second children. I did the whole wait 4 days thing for the first couple of months of food and now they just get whatever we are eating. I make sure that nothing has honey, peanuts, or strawberries in it but everything else is fair game. We will also wait for milk until after a year, but we aren't real big milk drinkers in this house anyway. HL, my oldest, never drank milk a day in her life. Shoot she was breast fed until she was 18months because she wouldn't eat anything I gave her. She is still my super picky eater. Now BK, he guzzles milk down like its going out of style. Its crazy how different kids can be.
Off to get ready for the dr.
