Heroes For Children 5k!!!

Okay guys! Its that time of year again. Its the annual HFC 5k. This one of my favorite events HFC throws because the whole family gets to participate. If you are in the Dallas area please come and participate.

As you all mostly know, HFC is near and dear to my heart. My best friend Jenny started this organization with her friend Larissa. They both lost daughters to Leukemia. And while they were fighting that horrible battle with their brave daughters, a lot of things changed in their lives. All of a sudden they were at the hospital 24/7. They weren't able to work anymore. Their new job was to take care of their sick babies. A lot f families face this when their child is battling cancer. And it means that they are losing income and aren't able to pay bills or buy groceries. Jenny and Larissa were lucky in a way. They both had an awesome support base that helped them through all of this. But they both noticed that several other patients did not have this support. So they combined their efforts and decided to start an awesome organization to help these families. Over the past 5 years they have helped every family that has applied for assistance. NO application has EVER been denied. This is truly an amazing feat. Go check out their website and you can learn more about this awesome charity. They help people pay their mortgages, pay utilities, pay for funerals, get the kids laptops to keep, and many more things.
