Diaper Rash Cream

Monday was a day for the books. I went to 6am yoga and then got called in to sub for sick workmate. So Brandon was left with the twins and Katie. I was only going to be gone for 3 hours so I thought the day would go pretty smoothly for him.

I called on my way home to check in and got an earful and then started laughing so hard I was crying. :)

So while he was catching up on his race and trying to feed Katie he kept hearing the twins upstairs saying "its stuck, its stuck".

This is something we hear all the time when they can't get something to work the way they want it to. We thought the upstairs was pretty kid safe.  They play up there often and normally don't get into too much trouble.

But this time when Brandon went to check on them he  found out what all the talking had been about. The had found a small tub of Dr. Smiths diaper rash cream. This is the really thick paste that we love for diaper rashes. Well they had found a pencil and were using the pencil to paint the cream on each others heads.

And my husband being the wonderful man he is, did stop to document the moment for me. We have to have blackmail for the future right?

He shampooed their hair about 5 times and it ended up just being super greasy. He also tried baking soda and vinegar. It helped a little but not enough. So after they got out of the bath he went downstairs with Katie, and heard them talking again and it sounded like trouble.

They had gotten into the toothpaste and smeared it all over the place. After cleaning that up and still trying to get Katie her bottle he heard them one last time. T

his time they had found blue paint and were trying to brush their teeth with it.  Needless to say nap time came very quickly after all the escapades. And the upstairs was thoroughly inspected to remove all items that may cause trouble in the future.

I came home and tried the mayo trick, but their hair is still greasy, but not as bad. Next up is using dawn dish soap on their hair. And wouldn't you know it, today was school picture day.

I love those crazy kids. They sure do keep me laughing. :)

Thanks for the laugh! I needed it! And kudos for having a great hubby to not only handle all of that but document it!

OMG...I am laughing so hard!!!! Thanks for the laugh.

Isn't it nice to hear that they act out for daddy too? My boys (ages 2 & 6) will be holy terrors for me...then if Daddy has them or takes them somewhere, they are angels...EVERY SINGLE TIME! Drives me nuts...so glad to see daddy got to walk a day in the life! :)
