30 weeks and still going

We are officially to 30 weeks! Can you believe it????? We have about 7 weeks left before these babies are even allowed to think about being here. We just had a sonogram this week but neither I nor my lovely hubby have taken the time to scan them in yet. I will get there, I promise!! The babies are looking good. The boy is weighing 3lbs and is 15.2" and the girl is 2lbs 12ozs and 14.4". I can't believe they are so big already! And I did make the sonographer check, they are still a boy and a girl. I was really worried one may change since I just washed all of their clothes.

I've been busy nesting this last week. I have all the basics for the babies washed and ready to go. We have a crib together for both of them to share for a bit. We have all of the bedding waiting and ready to go. My super step mother has the baby quilts pieced together and has sent them to her friend who quilts all of the designs on there. We will definitely have the cutest baby stuff ever! I'll post some pics when we have it all together.

How am I feeling? Just some of the basics that all preggo women have to deal with in the end. My back hurts, I have to pee all the time, none of my shirts cover my belly and I can't justify buying any new shirts, I'm hormonal and will cry at anything, the braxton hicks have started with a vengeance, but really (knock on wood) other than the morning sickness (which sucked!!!) this pregnancy has been pretty easy. It may be all of the wonderful support I've had this time around or I may just be lucky, but it has been really nice.

I may have to steal the title from Tracey, but Brandon may officially be considered a saint after all of this. The man has done absolutely anything and everything he can to make my life as easy as possible. I never knew it could be like this! Anything I ask is almost immediately granted. And he never bats an eyelash when I say I want more desert. Love it! And when I break out in tears for no reason at all he just hugs me, or laughs. And he is so sweet when he comes home from work and has to talk to the babies, he is so excited about them coming! I have to say I must be one of the luckiest girls in the world!

The kids are really getting excited as well. The girl is ready to be my helper. She even said she was prepared to not have any play time because she was going to be so busy helping with the babies. I did have to let her know that she was still going to have playtime and still have a lot of time to be a kid, she does not need to become another mother to these babies (but she can pretend if she wants). I'm sure she'll be hating it when she's 13 and has to babysit all the time!! The boy just likes to look at my belly and say "wow your belly is big, will it be bigger tomorrow?" He loves to think about what the babies will be thinking when they get here. He comes up with all of these imaginary conversations that he believes they will all be having. But both of the kids favorite thing to do right now is to yell into my belly and watch it move when they wake the babies up. Its pretty funny.

I'll post some pics later!

If you have an Old Navy anywhere near you...go take a look. They are having an awesome sale right now with tons...TONS of baby, kid and MATERNITY clothes on sale. Like big time sale. Like $1.50 for toddler pants and stuff. Maybe you could find some cute shirts for yourself as well..without spending a fortune.

By the way, I found your site through the Jenny Scott's. Congratulations on your upcoming new additions!!

I'm so happy for you, and can't wait until the newest members of the Posse arrive. That will be a great excuse for me to make a trip up to Dallas this spring.

And I concur that Brandon can share the saint title - he's a keeper!

I just wanted to say good luck and congrats on twins! I had boy/girl twins about 3.5 years ago. I was induced at 39 weeks and they were healthy at 8lbs 1oz and 6lbs 6oz. It can be done!
Sounds like you have a wonderful hubby!
