Not much new is going on. We are almost at 33 weeks and still holding on. At last weeks appointment I had started to dilate to 1 cm but as of this week we are steady and holding at 1 cm. No bedrest as of yet, but I was told to try internet shopping instead of walking through Ikea. :) The babies are fighting for space. I really don't know where else they will go but as long as they stay in a while longer we will be doing well.
I realized the other day I haven't updates what the kids were up to in a while. So here are some updates:
H, the girl, is in girl scouts this year and yes we are doing cookie sales again. Luckily it ends this weekend and of course the cookies come in one day before the babies are scheduled to be here. The last time we sold cookies I ended up forking over $100 of my own money for cookies that didn't find a home. So this year I am not pushing the sales as much. She is loving the troop she is in right now. It's small and brand new and all of the girls seem to get along very well. And best of all the moms in the troop are down to earth and have a sense of humor. You don't always get that when you live in this area!!
H is doing really well in school! She only had one B on her last report card and the rest were all A's!! We just need to work on her time management skills a bit, she can get caught up with one thing and forget about everything else.
Some nights it will take her 2 1/2 hours to do her homework, it should really take her about 30-45 minutes. But the other night I went to check on her and she hadn't gotten past the first assignment. She was supposed to read for 30 minutes and she had been reading for 2 hours. She said she just lost track of time. I love that she reads but come on...we need to do the other homework as well!!
The funniest thing she is doing right now happens when she tells stories. She'll start to tell you a story that she thinks is really funny and then start laughing so much that you can't understand the rest of the story at all. And then when she finishes she says, "wasn't that a funny story!" And the only problem is that you didn't hear the story because she was laughing so much. She is too cute!
B, the boy, is all boy right now. He is loving school and still learning so much. He just amazes me on how many words he can read now. He is still a super hero every day. Its always interesting to see how the wheels in his head turn, that mind is always going. Right now he is normally Spiderman, Superman, or Batman. And of course he has the coordinating costumes to go with the hero of the minute (he can change his costume at least 4-5 times an hour).
He loves watching the baby shows with me on TLC and discovery channel. He's been asking all kinds of questions about what happens with the babies on that show. It has helped open up a lot of questions that we may have never talked about. Since watching those shows he is getting more and more excited about the babies coming.
He was sick this last week and was a totally different boy. We know he is really sick when he sleeps and stops moving. Normally he talks non stop and doesn't stop moving, so when he came home from school last Tuesday and fell asleep on the couch I knew something was wrong. He came down with a bit of a fever and a cough but thankfully did not turn into the flu! We were diligently hand washing and spraying Lysol on everything. I did not want anyone else to get what he had (especially me!!). So (knock on wood) luckily no one else has gotten anything serious. I've had a few days where I feel like I'm coming down with something but it hasn't gotten too bad.
Not much else is happening. We think we have everything we need for the babies. I got to have a super fun girl's night out on Sunday to celebrate Jenny's birthday. So all that we need now is lots of stay put thoughts for these babies!! At least 2 more weeks if not 5!!! We get a sonogram on Monday and get to see how they look, so excited!!
