We are trying to pack to move in two weeks, EEEKKKK! Have you tried to pack up a house with 3 month old colicky twins and a 9 and 6 year old? At least the older kids are helping out and packing a box a day in their rooms. But I just haven't found the time to really get down to packing. I hate it!!
The babies are slowly but surely improving. The prevacid seems to be helping but its taking its sweet time getting there. It didn't help that I wasn't administering it quite correctly. As soon as I started to give Ella the prevacid at night she stopped sleeping well. She was up every 1-2 hours every single night! Then after I searched on the internet I found out that it can cause restlessness in some babies. Why didn't I research this before? I also found out that you are supposed to give it to them on an empty stomach to get better results. I was giving it to them right after they ate sometimes...no wonder it wasn't working well. So now I am giving them their entire dose once a day in the morning on an empty stomach and waiting a full 30 minutes before feeding and keeping them upright for 30 minutes after feeding. I think it is the right combo finally. The crying has lessened considerably and now when they cry it isn't blood curdling "my throat is burning" screams but more regular like baby crying. We are still a bit fussy in the evenings but I think its at a normal level now. Or at least a level I can tolerate. :)
They are both smiling all the time and cooing and starting to laugh. Its just so sweet! Beck is holding onto toys now and figuring out how to use his hands and feet to shake things and Ella is following right behind him. The big kids are loving the interaction they get with the babies now, and helping out more than ever.
Summer has begun at the house here. The kids are out for 3 full months! Luckily the big kids go to their Dad's for the month of July, so it will break it up for them a little bit. But who was the genius that thought going back to three months of summer was a good idea?
Like I said before we are moving in less than 2 weeks! My Parents have been so nice and have given us their house. They decided they didn't need all of the space they had and wanted to downsize, and decided that we may be able to fill the house up a bit better than they were by themselves. And let me tell you, we are filling it up fast! We are moving from our almost 2000 sq ft house with 3 bedrooms to a 3000 sq ft house with 5 bedrooms. Just thinking about the space seems like heaven after being cramped in our little house for so long!
H just started a Twilight girl scout camp this week, and she is just pumped about it. Below are a couple of pics of her and her hat. The make and trade "swaps" at camp with girls from all around. Its a great way to get to know the other girls. So the pic of the hat shows what she has "swapped" on her first night. She is going to have a blast this week!
B is at home with us this week while his sister is away at night. We are trying to make it a special week for him since his sis is gone. I need to find something fun for him to do this summer as well, but for some reason, with all my SPARE time, I haven't found it yet. But since we have 3 months ahead of us I am sure we will find many fun things for him to do as well. I don't want him to feel left out!!!
Watch out pool here we come! (pasty white skin and all!!!)

I'm not a great packer, but I'll do my best!!
Happy Summer!! Packing is so not fun but I'm glad your big girl is having fun @ Girl Scout Camp!!
Oh my gosh. That just made my blood pressure go up. I HATE packing for a move. It's just so bloody hard, and with kids, well, you have my sympathy. Although it sounds like the older ones are just being so great to pack a box a day. What troopers! Glad to hear the little ones are feeling better. Hang in there, Debbie!
