I think its been a while since I wrote anything on this blog. I know its been all pictures lately but I have been catching up on much needed family time and rest. The babies are finally sleeping through the night which is fabulous.
I'm feeling like my old self again. I actually want to be social again and see people. I even have energy to straighten the house and I've been getting out and walking 3 times a week. Its amazing what a little sleep will do for you. Other bonus, I can actually remember things again. You don't realize how much sleep effects every nook and cranny of your life but I have found out that life is a lot easier when you get it.
I plan on weaning the babies over the next 6 weeks. I should have them completely weaned by their first birthday on Feb. 20th. Its a double edged sword, on one hand I'm sad its coming to an end because I'll lose that special time we have together and it means that they are growing up way too fast. On the other hand, I will get FREEDOM!!! My body will finally be mine again. I seriously can't wait!

I am seriously in awe you have breastfed twins for a year. I mean, just mouth-dropped-open admiration.
Sleep makes ALL the difference! I agree with Minivan Mom - you are amazing to have breastfed Ella & Beck for the full year - awesome! Enjoy the LIBERATION that comes from having weaned kids!!
I hear you on the double edged sword-- sad, but def liberating. I went through that with Maren a few months ago, but I can't imagine going through it with 2! Good job Mama! Summer
Say goodbye to Elsie the milk cow! We really should have given you a bell to wear around your neck.
I am in awe of you too! My son is almost 9 months old and I can't believe I've lasted this long! Kudos to you for making it to a year with twins!!! You rock! And I completely understand wanting that freedom back. I can't wait. :)
