Spring Break- Staycation Day 1

We have Spring Break this week with the big kids. So we decided to have a little Stay-cation instead of going somewhere. Today's first outing was the Cavanaugh Flight Museum. We loaded up all of the kids, B's best bud M, his dad and little bro and off we went. The kids loved seeing all of the airplanes and pretended they were army men. It was great. The place wasn't too small and it wasn't too big. We were able to make it through fast enough that they didn't get bored. There is also a lot of room to run around, so it got even more bonus points!! Afterward we went and had lunch at Jake's and enjoyed this beautiful day on the patio.

Do you see a resemblance?

And my girl strapped on for the ride.

Its always nice to have a tall dad to help you see things up high!

Best Buds!!!

Hi Deb!

I love your blog and all your pictures. I came over here from Jenny's blog when you were pregnant with the babies and I've been reading pretty much every since. Do you mind if I ask about those back pack carriers? Where can I find them? They look very comfy and convenient. I have a front baby carrier but it really kills my back and I'd love to have another option. Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated! Thanks!

Hi Amanda! Thanks for reading! Those backpack are Kelty Baby Carriers. We actually have two different types the 1.1 and the 2.1. They are a little pricey but if you search online you can find some really good deals. I would suggest going to REI or some other place that carries them to try them out and then order online. I seriously found them for half price online.

The only difference between the two models is the internal framing. The TC 1.1 only takes you up to 30lbs and the TC 2.1 (has a metal frame inside, but not as major as a real baby hiking frame pack)takes you to 40lbs. I accidentally ordered the 1.1 thinking it was the 2.1 from a place called happymothers.com.

I got it for a great price but when I realized my mistake and tried to return it, it was impossible to do so. They tell you to call for a call tag and yet when you call they tell you they are closed. And I called at all different hours and days. So if you order from there make sure its what you want. :) I got the other pack from sierra trading post.

But they really do save your back, even though my shoulders do start hurting after a while. But I just tell myself I'm working my back and abs while carrying the babies,so I'm getting in better shape. Right? LOL My back hurts SO MUSH LESS than when we were using the sling and baby bjorn. And the babies love the view from the pack. They can see everything so much better.

And extra bonus- you can put all of your diaper bag stuff in the pack and its one less thing to carry. Let me know if you have any other questions. We love the things!
