I was going to post this in the comments section but then realized it was a novel and I should probably put it out here instead. Loving everyone's comments and all of my new blog friends. Keep up the good work! (and yes I know I'm addicted to !!!!! I try to lay off but I really am that excited about it all! )
Amy B- Way to go! Make sure your front knee does not bend past your toes when doing the lunges. That can cause some major knee trouble as well. Good luck and keep me posted. :)
Sam and Ben's mom- You are rocking it! I noticed stamina before anything else at first as well. Push ups are still one of my hardest things. My upper body strength sucks. Keep it up!
Tara- You are cracking me up! It so sounds like something I would do, drinking and working out!!! Glad to hear that you are feeling the same way about level 2.
Holly- Yea! You opened it, now get off your butt and get busy!! LOL! Don't make me go all Jillian on you!!! When you do the first day, come back and let me know how you feel. I know you can do it!
Pantuf (Stacy)- Don't you love telling people all about it? It really does rock. Keep up the hard work! And I'm really thinking its all the muscle we're building which is causing our love hate relationship with the scale. That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!
Meredith- So happy you have joined us in this torture, oops I mean exercise. Your body will be so happy with you in the end. :)
Kelly MN- I am so sure I jinxed myself. Yesterday when we did the level 2 we were dying by the end. Go figure! I've been sticking to the easier on the joints versions on level 2 and it wasn't so bad on my knees yesterday. Even though I really wanted to use the knee excuse to just skip a day, we powered through and did it. I know if I stat skipping I won't finish.Someone told me the next dvd to try. When I find that I'll post about it as well. We have to keep our hard work going, right?
Tammy- Can you say sweating vats of sweat?!?!? We sweat more during this 25 minutes than doing anything else!! It is craziness. I'm ready for the weather to get better so that we can just jump in a pool as soon as we are done!
Peggy- I felt the same way at first. Not so sore, and then half way through it hit me. It just sorta sneaks up on you right? I'm using 3lb weights. Nancy is doing the 5lb and says she wants to do the 3lbs instead. Worrying about arms bulking up. And I totally hear you on the diet and exercise together. I suck at doing them both. That's why I'm doing the whole calorie count thing. I'm still eating some sweets but making sure they fit into my calories per day. That way I don't feel deprived but am able to moderate all the yummy things I love to eat. Because as soon as I tell myself what I can't have, its exactly what I go for. Keep it up! Just focus on the exercising for now and work your way up to "dieting". You may find you like the results enough that you don't have to work as hard on the dieting.
Sara L- Did you start? Let me know how you are doing!Still not sure about the photos but I may post them soon.
Jamie J- I love hearing your comments. Congrats on your baby! I think this will be a great way to put the control back into your own hands. Keep up the good work and positive thinking!!!
Amanda- You are doing exactly what I was doing. Elliptical 4-5 days a week. I have to say Jillian has something working in all of her theories!! Did you look for it in the exercise section and not just the video section? That is where I had more luck finding it. Let me know when you get it and get started!
amanda- Go get it!!! I really think you'll love it. And just keep telling your self I have 20 minutes a day to do this, right? Thats what motivates me!!!
Susan's 365- You are doing a fabulous job! Doing the shred and couch to 5k, that takes some serious dedication and I think you are going to be so happy with your results. Keep it up and keep us updated!
Amy B- Do it! You'll be so happy you started it when swimsuit season comes and you don't have to stress about it!
Mommy Mo- Keep it up girlfriend! You are rocking it!Love the motivation.
Anonymous- YEA!! So glad you started it. We totally should do a shred blog for the dfw area! I'll have to look into that. :)
Carolein- So how is it going? Did you start on Monday? Let me know how you are feeling! I can't wait to hear. :) Good Luck!!
Missy- Embrace the fear and let it motivate you. I just keep imagining Jillian showing up if I slack off. That enough to keep me going! LOL! You can do it!!
Debbie- Let me know how you like it. I am so excited you ordered it. You will rock it!!!

OK! I'm in. I got my DVD yesterday and previewed it by doing some of the exercises. I will work with the weights and do the floor work starting tonight now that I have all my stuff together.
I used my rebounder for the jumping jacks & jump rope. This adds to keeping that lymph moving.
NOW!!! Not to be too picky, but grandma wants to see some more pictures of the twins!
So sweet that you replied to all of us.
Keep Shredding!
Aw! I feel SO special! No, REALLY! I haven't gotten the video yet...it's supposed to be delivered on Friday. I have NO clue why it's taking forever to get from KY to KS? I plan on starting IMMEDIATELY. My summer clothes are so tight I can barely breathe...and I REFUSE to buy anything any bigger. I'm already in a size I never DREAMED I would be in! Thanks so much for the motivation...you have no idea how much it means to me!!!!!!!!
I don't know if I've commented on your blog, but I found you through Jenny and Tracey's blogs.
I found the DVD right before you started blogging about it and I have to say that I *love* it! I completely agree with you on everything - I'm feeling better and can totally do level 2 without feeling like I want to fall to the floor. But the scale is not doing me any favors. Even though I feel 10 times better and my clothes fit better. Weird.
I am thoroughly enjoying that this work out takes on 20 minutes.
Thanks for blogging about it...it's motivating to know that there's other people out there doing the workout too! (Especially because you've got 4 kids - I keep thinking to myself...a woman with 4 kids finds time to do this every day...I can too.)
I also came over via Tracey/Jenny/Jenn M's blogs. I know none of these women IRL but like to blog-stalk them all and now I get to add you to the list. ;) I got the 30 day shred for my b-day (yes, I asked for it!) at the beginning of March, but haven't done it more than 3/x a week. You have motivated me to do it more often--now going on 2 days in a row. :)
I also do other cardio most days. Right now the treadmill is my cardio of choice because it is free, inside, and has a TV in front of it. If I don't do a 30 min program I will either just run (I did the Couch to 5K program this year as well) or I did interval training the past 2 weeks.
I had been counting calories on sparkpeople.com, but haven't been good about that lately.
I don't like level 2 because of all the plank moves--obviously my core is lacking. That is my goal for next week, to do level 2 more than one time!
Keep up the great work!

Speaking of sweating and swimming, thats exactly what we've been doing after working our butts off! And boy does it feel great! The water is a little cool, but I just keep telling myself before long it will be like bath water, enjoy it now! Day 2 down for me, my legs feel a little bit better, but still sore as heck, the arms too. Thanks for the motivation, it really helps! The shred blog sounds pretty cool, don't know how you find the time thou! Hugs from Fort Worth!
You are so motivational! I went out the other night and bought weights (3 lbs), and couldn't find the DVD in the store. SO... I went online and ordered it! Hopefully I'll get it soon, so I can get started. My excuse has always been that I'm too busy... I work full time, have kids, etc... Whatever! If this only takes 20-30 minutes, then I have time to do it!
Thank you for sharing it with all of us! Keep up the great work!
Okay, I did day 1 of the Shred and wow! The first set of exercises seems to be the hardest so by the time I got to the others I was already tired. Wish I could do them in reverse order. But I loved it. I was shaking afterwards and scared of how sore I would be but it wasn't bad. Oh, the push ups...can't do those and I have to do the modified. I'm using 5 lb weights hoping for Michelle Obama's arms!! Now day 2 was yesterday and after getting off work and taking forever to get the kids down, I opted out. But I feel guilty today so I'll be doing it tonight for sure. Crazy that a DVD can make me feel guilty. Anyway, I'm also trying to walk during my lunch hour every day (in my "FIT"FLOPS) to get a little more cardio in, plus I just enjoy getting out by myself and walking. I don't have a scale (hate those things) so I'm not sure what my weight loss will be. But for me, it's more about how I feel and fitting into that pre-second baby size that is taking up half of my closet. I'm enjoying hearing about everyone's progress and now I don't feel so silly lurking in on your blog... :-) :-)
So excited I have to share! Morning of Day 8 and my muffin top has shrunk by 2 inches!!!! WOOHOO!!!! Thank you, thank you, thank you for blogging about this fabulous DVD! I'm saying goodbye muffin top, hello toned tummy!
I think you're right about the scale. It was down 2 lbs today finally. I think the gain was muscle.
Oh, and my hubby thanks you too! ;)
I tried level 2 once and went back to level 1. I think I'll continue that until day 10 like you suggested. When you completed day 10, could you do all of the push-ups??? I swear those are the death of me. I can do a lot more than I could to begin with (and the real kind not the girly ones!), but I still can't do all of them. Just curious!
Received confirmation that my DVD is on its way... yea!! (Girl, you need some commission!)
Thanks for noticing my comments! I'm on day 4 of the shred, not as sore today but I have noticed that I have much more stamina!! Woo-hoo!!
You have inspired me. Ordered the dvd today. Also bought the book "making the cut" by Jillian Michaels. We will see....we can do anything for 30 days, right?
Did day 9 of level 1 today and still going strong. I'm taking your lead and I'm going to do 10 days of each level.
A couple of days ago I was sitting down and felt like I was sucking my gut in but then realized I wasn't actually sucking it in...it was smaller. Does that sound crazy?
I'm so glad I got this DVD. I told my dh that I want Cardio Max and 3 pound weights (all I have in the house are 2 pound and 10 pound)for Mother's Day.
