Hi Deb! I was wondering if you could tell me what type of lens you use to get these fabulous pictures. I love the natural light. Is it a prime lens? I have a Nikon d60 and am still learning how to use it. Have thought about a Prime lens but I'm not sure.

Thanks!

Kelly- I'm using a 50mm lens. The only problem I have with it is the auto focus. On the d40 it will not auto focus and you can only manually focus. Which is normally not a problem but with quick moving babies it poses a problem more often than not. I can't remember if it has AF for the d60. Does you d60 have a separate motor on it? I know the d80 does. But overall I LOVE this lens and the clarity I get from it. You can also work in really low light with it and not have a problem. I would definitely recommend this.

Hi there! I was just going to ask you a camera related question as well. I have the D40 and so far have not been too courageous to try different settings. I was wondering if you have a favorite setting, or something that you stick to that always gives you the same results. I am hoping to upgrade to the 50mm lens soon. Your pics are gorgeous and those big blue eyes are always glowing! Thanks!

OMG - GREAT pics! Your babies are adorable.

And to answer you...the 50mm does not have autofocus with the D60 either. That's the one I have. And I agree...manually focusing on two babes on the move is quite difficult!

Awww... they are so adorable. Wishing we lived closer so they could play more often! We're planning to be down there June 18-21 with the whole crew! Hope to see you then!
