Okay so we missed shredding on Easter Sunday but we got back on the horse on Monday. I can tell you it sucked and we thought we were going to die, but we did it.
I put on some pants today fresh from the dryer. The last couple of months when I put these pants on I get a nice little muffin top. And today... no muffin top. It is amazing.
I mean, seriously people, 7 days and my pants are a lot looser. Its crazy. I can see more muscle tone in both Nancy and I. I can wear my old tight t shirts and not feel like a fat cow.
I really thought the work outs would start to feel easier but they really haven't so far. We can do the exercises better and our endurance is higher but we still have to work at it. And we are covered in sweat when we finish.
Before this, I had been working out 4-5 days a week and had lowered my calories to 1500 a day, and I was seeing almost no change. It was really frustrating!!! Now the weight hasn't changed much on the scale, but I can see the changes in my body. Which in the end means more to me. I can be a scale addict, so seeing the change makes it easier for me to avoid the scale.
Now I am still too chicken to get back on the Wii Fit. I just don't want it yelling at me! But I think I will get back on it at the end of the first 10 days, just to see if my BMI has changed.
Oh and someone asked what size weights I use- I'm using the 3lb. And for all of those of you out there that are joining me in this challenge ( YOU ROCK!!!), I heard from Beth that the second level does a lot more with the arms so don't skimp on your arm exercises.
Let me know how you guys are all doing. I can't wait to hear. You guys help keep me motivated!!!
Hey YOU- yeah I'm talking to YOU- did you ever take the dvd out of the plastic wrapping? You know you actually have to play the dvd to get it to start working, right? Yeah yeah yeah, I hear that you're busy, but you do have time to set 20 minutes aside to do a few measly exercises. So get off you butt and get busy. You want to look good right? You can do it!
(unless your name is minivan mom- girl you don't have time to do anything including breathing, i will have the riney ritas ready and waiting for your may trip. miss you!!!)

I know you are talking to ME!!!
I have not taken it out of the plastic but I did work out with a personal trainer yesterday. She said that on a scale of 1-20 she wanted to keep me at a 18 or 19 (about to puke). She kept me there and I thought I was going to have a heart attack but it was one of the best workouts ever!!! After yesterday I think I can survive taking the plastic off the DVD and getting started!
I'm so excited for you and your tight t-shirts and no muffin top!!!
You have totally convinced me to try this! I bike my butt off several days a week but I think my body has become used to it. Since the big 3-0 is rapidly approaching, it's time to do a little something extra :) Now I am so excited to see what happens! Your kiddos are SO cute!!
I cannot WAIT to get this in the mail. I think hubby is even going to join me...he'll probably laugh and think it's all "girly" but oh well...he needs it as much as I do. :)
snicker. As I set my alarm for 4:45am for the 4th day in a row to get up and grade for 1.5 hours BEFORE going to work for 8+ hours BEFORE going to a 2 hour baseball game BEFORE coming home and getting the kids fed and to bed and then working again (on laptop at 10:23 at night...)...yes. I appreciate the shout-out. :)
It's not an excuse. I truly don't have time to work out. I'm already down to 5-6 hours of sleep a night, and going constantly the other 18 hours.
It sucks though. I don't have any time to take care of myself. :(
My 30 day shred should be showing up tomorrow, according to amazon.com! LOL
Here's another website you may want to look at:

I just joined on Tuesday and it's like an online weight loss support network. I love it! It's free; you can count calories on there (and if your food is not on their list you can plug in the values from the package label and set it as one of your favorite foods!) and I even have 2 buddies on there now as well. I've been doing pace-walking since Tuesday and that's been good. I have about 61 pounds to lose right now. Come Monday, I'm set to feel sore...that's when I'll be beginning my 30 day shred!

I jumped. I bought it last night. My arms are a bit sore but sore in a good way. I run but I just don't want to diet so I wasn't loosing anything. I only want to be tone but if I happen to drop the 8 remaining pounds from my 3.5 year old, I'd be happy.
After reading about you doing the 30 day shred I went and bought the DVD. Did day one today, felt sick for nearly an hour. Did feel good after that though. Hoping to keep it up.
