Okay I'm a day late in posting this. I really wanted to get to it earlier but life disagreed with me. :) But now with the big kids at their dad's house and the babies in bed, I have a quiet house all to myself.
So how are you guys doing? Is everyone still sticking in there? I have to admit we did miss this last Thursday and Sunday due to horrible allergy days. But I think we have gotten that under control now and are back on track. We are halfway through Stage 2. I still haven't seen any real weight loss but have definitely lost inches around my waist and legs. I'm seeing a lot of muscle tone in Nancy's arms as well. We decided we will post pics of before and after at the end of the 30 days. Halfway through the pics are really starting to show change. I LOVE it. :)
We are changing our diet up a bit to see if it makes any changes on our weight. Still sticking to the 1500 calories a day but doing the whole no eating after 8pm. We did that last night and woke up with flatter stomachs. Normally we wouldn't do the shred until about 9pm, and then we would eat dinner afterward. We stay up pretty late so we figured that this worked in our schedule. But we'll see if this change makes any difference.
And those of you who still haven't opened your dvd, get off your butt and get moving. If Minivan mom can find time to do it while working 80 hour weeks with 3 kids (2 of them in baseball) you can do it too! If you haven't bought it yet, I highly recommend it. 20 minutes a day is not a big commitment. Give it a try and you might like what you see! :)
Okay hear a baby still crying upstairs better go check some diapers!

My MIL bought this for me over the weekend and I've done 2 days (took today off b/c I'd worked out 4 days in a row (2 elliptical days before I started the shred)) and I LOVE IT!!!! After the first day, I thought I was going to die--afterwards it hurt for me to raise my hands over my head to wash my hair! But day 2 was so much better and I could tell a difference in my stamina just from Day 1. I talked my BFF into getting it too and she started it today. I go to the Bahamas in less than a month and I'd like to be able to get a decent swimsuit. I'm using 5# weights b/c that's the lowest we have and all I can say is WOW!!!! This is a GREAT workout! I will be getting up at 5 a.m. and doing it tomorrow! :)
I finally received mine, but I've yet to open the darn thing. It came whil I was on vacation, and I'm leaving again on Thursday for another mini-vacay with the kiddos. But -- I will get on it when I return next week. I cannot wait to do it and see some results. We're going to the beach for the 4th of July, so I've got to SHRED the weight...LOL!
Oh, and do you find it bothers you to do it late at night? I'm asking b/c hubby said he doesn't think we should do it late at night b/c we might be wired. We normally try to work out after I put the baby down at 8pm. Just curious...
You go girl! I think it's great that you two have kept up with the shred. I did day 9 of level 1 yesterday and will do level 1 tomorrow as well (today I ran). After that I will try level 2. I haven't noticed any change on the scale, but I have definitely noticed changes in the way my clothes are fitting. WE CAN DO THIS!
Hell yeah! I'm getting up at 5:30am before a 15 hour day of work, kids, baseball and more work...but I'm doing it!
Although good god, I HURT!
Amanda- Way to go! You will be HOT this summer!! :)
Sherrie- It doesn't keep me up doing it late. But we usually do it and then are up for about 2 more hours. Does that help?
Susan 365- YES WE CAN!!! We will rock it.
Tracey- All I have to say is YOU GO GIRL!!!! And remember don't look at the scale. You will see other changes before the scale changes. Love ya!
I am on day 18, and while I definitely have more stamina, I haven not seen the results you have mentioned. I FEEL better, but I don't look any different. I have dropped a little over 4 lbs. (as of last Friday), and have better defined biceps, but the belly? Still there. Still flabby. No change. Ugh. I have been limiting my calories, and never eat after 7pm. What gives?? Mabye I'm just in a Shredding Slump.
So I am now on day 3 of level 3 and my knees are much better! Which surprises me because there is a lot of pylometrics in this level. It is so true how much better your endurance and stamina improves with Jillian. The first day of level 3 I was nauseous from the routine and now I have already moved up to doing alot of Natalie's moves. My scale had moved down 1 pound, but now is up again! However, I know there is less of a muffin top hanging over my jeans and it motivates me to keep on!
ok im on day 3 and my thighs are killing me!!!!! does it get better cause i cant even walk up my stairs!!!! yikes!!!!
Still shredding and going strong Debbie! I'm on day 14!!! Woohoo! This past Saturday we had a wedding to go to, so I didn't shred. Came home tipsy and figured cocktails and shredding didn't mix. I'd either A) fall B) drop a weight on my foot or C) puke. None of which sounded pleasant. I doubled up on Sunday. Level 1 in the AM and Level 2 in the PM. Holy hell, double days are a killer! So, I'm still on track! 14 days, 14 workouts. On level 2 and loving my results. Not a big fluctuation weightwise, but my clothes are fitting amazingly and I'm toning up like crazy. I think I'll be able to dust off my favorite two piece this summer! I'm a little bummed that I won't be on track next week since I'm having oral surgery (wisdom teeth pulled, yuck!) and Dr. orders to take a few days off. Other than that though, I'm sticking with it! Can't wait to see your before and after pics! Oh, and the babies are just delish. I love the new pics! ~Stacy
Still doing it, although I missed yesterday because we had to go out for my f-i-l's birthday. I did 5 out of 7 days the first week and figure that, with my life, that's a pretty good expectation and makes it a 6 weeks program. I have curbed my initial reaction (which is usually my reaction when it comes to diet and exercise programs) -- well, I missed a day so I might as well quit. Not this time!
The initial soreness is mostly gone. I am not seeing results on the scale, but I definitely feel "firmer," if that makes sense, so I want to keep at it.
Oh,and it's quite fun to do with a 3 year old. When she does jumping jacks, she looks like a bird taking off. Takes my mind of the monotony!
Go Debbie, go Debbie, go Debbie!
Rock on girlfriend. My scale hasn't shown that big of a loss (but then again, I am not limiting myself to 1500 calories either!); however, I am losing Inches, INCHES, I-N-C-H-E-S off my body.
Good luck to you and your friend!
I have been following you since the twins were born, and just wanted to let you know that my baby will be one on the 16th of May and my husband and we started shredding this week, three day's into it, thanks to your blog- adn the sale at Target this past week.

Hey there!! I'm on day 7 and I can tell I have much more stamina and I feel like I've "maybe" lost a little bit around my waist! I'm getting excited now! Also, 3 of my co-workers have been inspired as well and they've purchased the dvd too! Keep us the great work!!
I finally opened the DVD last night and did it. Holy crap! My thighs are sooooo sore today - it hurts to sit down in a chair (and stand back up again!). BUT - I'm determined to stick with it! It's not that hard to do, and it's quick. Perfect for me!
Thanks for the recommendation and keep up the great work!
